Coconut oil has a long shelf life compared to other oils, lasting up to two years due to its resilience to high temperatures. Coconut oil is best stored in solid form – i.e. at temperatures lower than 24.5°C (76°F) in order to extend shelf life. However, unlike most oils, coconut oil will not be damaged by higher temperatures.
In warmer weather coconut oil may leave our warehouse in a solid state and arrive with the customer in a liquid state. This does not in any way impair or damage the oil. If the coconut oil is placed in a room cooler than 24.5°C it will start to return to a solid state.
